Recently a full stable version of OB-XF has been released and is inspired by Oberheim OB-X synth. This synthesizer is free to download and comes with 256 free virtual synth instruments.
Surge Synth Team yet again has created an outstanding synthesizer which is free to download and free to use for all types of music producers.
This one is definitely worth downloading and trying.
This synth virtual instrument comes with many amazing instruments (presets); check the list below:
- Atmosphere
- Bass
- Bells
- Brass
- Drums
- FX
- Guitars
- Pianos
And there are so many more types of instruments to choose from; this is just a fraction of the available current instrument selection. Check out a quick visual representation below:
When it comes to the virtual instrument selection, most of these virtual sound selections can be used for most modern musical projects, where they’re for commercial music productions or sound design-related projects which involve game background music productions.
The sound signal processing involved no post effects such as phasers or reverbs, meaning extra effects added to the channel stack within the digital audio unit are a no-brainer to ensure stabilized sound signal output as required.
Here at ProducersBuzz we also have OB-XD Free Synth, which is free to download. Also, we have a great synth and free analog synth collection listed here at ProducersBuzz, which includes loads of great free synthesizers which are free to download and use.

Buzz Overview of OB-XF Synthesizer
When it comes to built-in effects, there aren’t any within this synth VST; therefore, it would have been nice to see Surge Synth Team include built-in reverb and phaser effects to make sound manipulation much easier and simpler for upcoming music producers who are less experienced.
Apart from that, we have downloaded and tested this awesome virtual synthesizer, and all that we can say here at ProducersBuzz is that this free synth VST is well worth downloading and trying.
The main reason is it comes with various features, loads of great sound selections and is 100% free to download and free to use!
