When it comes to adding VST plugins inside FL Studio, this can be quite tricky for some music producers.
You may be a music producer who is super duper excited about installing a certain VST plugin. As you install your desired VST plugin on your workstation, you find out that it’s not loading.

Easy step-by-step guide on installing the VST plugin inside FL Studio
First Before You Start – Install your VST/AU plugin on your PC

First, you will need to install the VST plugin on your workstation (PC), if it’s a .exe file just click on the installation file and then hit the next button a few times till your installation is complete.
If it’s a .dll file it requires you to manually move the file and if it’s content into your VST folder located inside your program files. Full step-by-step guide here – Installing VST Plugins on Windows Tutorial (.exe & .dll files)
Step 1

After you install your VST plugin, you will need to locate it inside FL Studio. Click on “ADD” at the top menu bar and then select “More Plugins” on the drop-down menu, highlighted in red below.

Then when a window opens up, click on “Manage Plugins“, located near the bottom right within FL Studio.

Now you will need to select “Find More Plugins“. At the top inside FL Studio.

Now close the “FL Studio Plugin manager” window in FL Studio, just hit the x (highlighted in red)

Now you will need to add your new VST to your channel rack inside FL Studio, right inside your channel rack select Insert, and then select more plugins.

Then use the search box to search for your new VST plugin, then just click on it in the viewport shown.

Step 7
The VST plugin has now been successfully installed inside FL Studio.
