You simply can’t compare Autotune Access to Autotune EFX or Autotune Artist because of its limitations!
You may be asking yourself why?, well let’s just say that we could have headlined this Article “Antares Autotune Access is a joke?” this is because the limitations of Antares Autotune Access is a waste of money and quite pointless.
Antares Autotune Access is a spec of dust compared to Antares Autotune Artist or Antares Autotune EFX.
The main features of Autotune Access that let us down were in fact the limited features of the retune speed.
Retune speed comes in 3 settings;
- Slow (400) – retune speed
- Medium (200) – retune speed
- Fast (0) – retune speed
let’s not forget that Antares Autotune Artist or Antares Autotune EFX provides features/settings of 0 to 400, giving you 400 different possibilities of outputs. on the other side, Antares Autotune Access only provides 3 options, which is a spec of dust and definitely a huge letdown!
Simply by this limited feature by itself Antares Autotune, Access is a joke, much cheaper version of course but definitely not aimed at music producers who mix vocals, more as a joke for the public to mess about with maybe or just to simply add some vocal effects for the heck of it.
The Input type of Autotune is Limited
The limitation of Input Type is definitely dead in nonexistent in Autotune Access
By removing “input type” features in Autotune Access, music producers or sound engineers will definitely not be pleased.
Input type settings within Antares autotune allows the music producer or sound engineer to tell the program what vocals or instrument your currently working with. (high or low pitch voice or instrument or bass)
Each input type will have drastic changes in the way autotune software processes and outputs the main autotune effects.
Without these features we are quite speechless, why would you make such a limited version?
As you can see above comparing autotune access to autotune artists is simply pointless, you cant simply compare Autotune Access to Autotune Artists or EFX because of its limitations and removal of features you would expect to have.
it’s like comparing bread crumbs to a whole loaf of bread, yeh it’s that bad!
We could go on and outline 10 other reasons why Autotune Access is a simple waste of money and a waste of purchasing, but we don’t want to do that.
instead, we will simply say this.
Do not waste your money on Autotune Access, get Autotune Artist or Autotune EFX+ instead, that extra cost is well worth it!
You will regret buying Autotune Access if you understand the purpose of mixing and mastering vocals or instruments the right way.
The pitch correction settings are limited and not worth it!
