To make your kicks and snares stand out you will need to create a bus link and use a limiter just like shown in our video above, the main effect that we will be applying is called the “sidechain” effect.
Sidechain inside FL Studio works the same as any other DAW, soon as the kick, snare or any selected instrument is added to the sidechain effect, all other sounds playing simultaneously will be dimmed, dimmed to specific settings set by the producer, providing nothing but clearer sound on selected instruments or drums.
